So Long Roding

Our very last day at Roding was an emotional time. Saying goodbye to  some of my friends that I'd know for  7 or 8 years was hard, but ...

Olympic Interests

My family and I, have always loved our sports. So when we heard that the 2012 Olympics games where going to be held in London, we were all very excited. Lucky, during the 2012 Games, my family and  I ,were able to experience the atmosphere of the games ,by traveling to the Olympic Park to watch the Women's Waterpolo.  Below is a short photo collection I have made for you, about our time at the London Olympic Games.

Ever since 2012, my family and I had been looking forward to the Rio 2016 Olympics.

This summer we had been catching up on all the news in Rio possible. Even in Croatia (where we had to watch it in Dutch!).  This year I have had some favourites events that I had been excited about and wanted to watch more than others. They have included: Gymnastics,  Women's Rugby 7's ; Women's Hockey (which we won bronze in) , Athletics and Diving. Here is a taste of some of the games have enjoyed over the part two weeks at Rio.

Grandad GG

Meet my crazy Grandad Colin. He is my Dads father.  He loves to dress up. He's dressed up as a chicken, an 70's disco diva, Santa, and a crazy tiger man.

My Grandad loves pets. He even has a pet parrot called George.

He loves his chickens that he keeps in the garden. He also loves to do a lot of gardening.

My Nan And Grandad

This is my Nan Chis and my Grandad Dave. They are my mums parents. They look after me and my sister loads and treat us to loads of awesome day trips and presents, that we are very grateful for. My Nan and Grandad have both celebrated their 70th birthdays this year.

My Mum

This is my mum, Sam. My mum was born in South Woodford  where she grew up, and we still live nearby today. My mum loves Zumba and is a Zumba instructor in the local area.

My mums main job is a senior community support worker for adults with learning disabilities.

My mum is obsessed with her fitness and goes crazy when shes competing her weekly fitbit challenge with her friends. She doesn't stop moving, even in the car and when shes cooking!

My mum is very unique in all sorts of ways. She is great at art,  loves to socialise; she has a great taste of  different types of fashion and interior design,  she's an amazing dancer, and can sometimes be a bit nutty. but we all love her.

My Dad

This is my Dad. Daniel Lea. My Dad was born in Peterborough but went to Roehampton University were he met my mum. For a living my dad works as a Deputy Head at Gearies Primary School. Over his 17 years of working there he has taught some of the students at West Hatch like: Yasmin Bhatti and her best mate Arjan (Year 10) and Rhys Mussington, (Year 7). I look forward to seeing them at West Hatch.

Outside of work my Dad has loads of cool hobbies like fishing. Once a year my Dad and his mates back in Peterborough ('The Jolly Boys') get together, and  for 3 days,  they fish in the middle of nowhere hunting for there biggest catch yet.  Here is one of my dads best fish.

My Dad is not always serious. He does have his nutty moments. For example him and some of his university flat mates, got together to have a laugh. We went to Jump Giants were somehow, my Dad ended up stuck in the foam pit. This video will show you how.

He also does crazy stunts.

Ever since my Dad was a kid, he has always been a rugby super fan. When he lived in Peterborough my Nan used to always love the rugby team: Saracens, and would always watch  the games. When I was first born I was even held by one of the players!
My dad played a lot of rugby in Peterborough  and when he moved to London he started playing more football. But he started to play again at Bancroft Rugby Club where he began to love rugby again.

When I was born my Dad had to stop playing so that he could look after me. Now that me and my sister are older, he has started to play again and he is also now a coach for the club.

As well, as playing rugby, the family also watch it. and me and my Dad have been to see many games with our family.

That is basically everything you will need to know about my Dad. Apart from the fact we call him "Shrek". Below, is a short video of when my Dad won the 'Becta Teaching Award' in 2009

My Sister is a Hipster- Cara

Meet Cara, the most, crazy, self confident, eight year old  sister you could ever meet. At first it may appear that  she is all about hair, fashion, America, Canada, hipsters and mostly, you tube. She is obsessed with watching you tube!  Especially American girls doing challenges and tutorials. She dreams  of one day living in Canada or America. Cara can also be very annoying. She also loves taking loads of selfies.

But Cara is  also kind, fun to play with and a very real, "Child rights activist." She knows loads about Children's Rights and sticks up for her classmates and her beliefs.

Cousins. Part 3. (Ryan and Frankie)

Now, where do I begin. Lets start with  Frankie ( aka Boris) even though he looks super cute he can be  a huge trouble maker, but we all love him.

Right lets move on to Ryan. Hummmm ...

... I'm guessing you might already know Ryan. He is in Pankhurst House at West Hatch and is currently studying in the Sixth Form. He's kind, funny, supportive and loves to be with the family. But...He also loves to wind me and my sister up, a lot! But I do love him lots.

Cousins. Part 2. (Art)

"Art" (Arthur) Lives in Peterborough with my Aunty Min and Granddad Colin, AKA "GG". Unfortunately, like Antonio and Luca , we don't see him very often.

Cousins. Part 1 (Antonio and Luca)

These are my cousins Antonio and Luca. They live in Coalville, which is just outside Leicester, with my aunty Sue and uncle Greg..
We don't see them much but keep in contact through Whats App, sending each other mad videos and crazy challenges.

Baking

Over the past few years, I have started to enjoy baking, including making new and exciting cakes and bakes for my family and friends to love.

I have always liked watching cooking programs like: Master Chef: Junior Master Chef, The Great British Bake Of , Junior Bake Of, and more. When I watch theses programs I have always imaged what it wold be like cooking on live television and having your food tasted by amazing chefs and judges. Sometimes i wonder if it will ever be me.

My Auntie runs her own cake company and has helped me to improve my baking skills by: buying me new equipment, giving me great tips and advice, often letting me help her with some of her bakes.

As a Baker I most prefer to make my food for special occasions, including birthdays and important sport matches.

My family and I have a special book that we keep on the shelf called: 'The Lea Family Cook Book'. If someone creates a dish, bake, drink or meal, that the whole family enjoy. then it goes inside the book:

At West Hatch I know that Food Technology is one of the many subjects I am excited about and will enjoy.
